Win Kyle Edmund’s cap

It has been a breakthrough year for Edmund, who started 2016 ranked just outside the world's top 100 and ends the season inside the top 50.
In the summer, Edmund, in the absence of Andy Murray, proved the key man in Great Britain's Davis Cup quarter-final victory over Serbia in Belgrade. Having previously never won a Davis Cup rubber, Edmund beat both Janko Tipsarevic and Dusan Lajovic in straight sets to send Leon Smith's team through to the semi-finals.
"The win in Davis Cup was definitely amazing," Edmund told tennishead. "I never thought I'd be involved or be part of that but winning my first matches for Great Britain was something pretty special.
More glory was to follow at the US Open. Edmund had only won two matches in his previous eight Grand Slam appearances, but at Flushing Meadows he reached the fourth round after victories over Richard Gasquet and John Isner, world No.15 and world No.21 respectively. He eventually lost to Novak Djokovic, who went on to reach the final.
With three quarter-final appearances in Doha, Queen's Club and Beijing under his belt, the 21-year-old went one better in Antwerp, where he upset second seed David Ferrer en route to his maiden ATP World Tour semi-final at the European Open.
