The 26-year-old Italian, whose only previous WTA Tour title came in Bogota in 2007, needed only an hour and 10 minutes to beat sixth seed Kirilenko 6-0 6-4.

Unseeded Vinci, ranked 61st in the world, raced through the opening set, breaking her Russian opponent’s serve three times. Kirilenko improved in the second set but Vinci took advantage of all three of her break points to seal victory.
