The Frenchman, who shocked the tennis world by reaching the Australian Open final in January, clinched his first ATP title in Bangkok recently and followed that up with his first Masters Series crown by defeating David Nalbandian 6-3 4-6 6-4 on Sunday.

“I have made it into the top 10 and that is a dream for me,” said Tsonga, who is up to seventh in the latest standings. “But every week I think of being number one – I tell myself being number one would be amazing, and really it is that which is helping me progress all the time. I have to continue thinking like that in order to climb as high as possible.”
