The Campus, Quinta do Lago, Portugal: Unstoppable family sports

The Campus has something for everyone

For active, sports-loving families, there is nowhere better than The Campus. A high-performance multi-sports and wellness facility, The Campus is located in Quinta do Lago, a luxury family resort in the Algarve, Portugal, and is a thriving hub of incredible sports experiences. Just ask Judy Murray, who returns to The Campus this autumn half-term for another of her hugely popular Tennis Camps.

“The Campus has such a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere and I am delighted to be returning again this autumn half term,” Judy says. “The camp is full of the exercises and games that I played with Jamie and Andy when they were growing up. As tennis is a ‘hit, move and think’ sport, the camp aims to help players of all levels to do those three things at the same time… while having a whole lot of fun!”

The Campus Judy MurrayJudy’s Tennis Camp welcomes juniors as well as adults to train on The Campus professional courts, so the whole family can share in this memorable holiday experience. As a resort, Quinta do Lago is dedicated to creating these kinds of lasting family moments, with a jam-packed events calendar, unique restaurants, inclusive outdoor activities and boutique family accommodation at The Magnolia Hotel, just to begin.

At Quinta do Lago’s new sports hub, The Campus, the value of getting children outside, enjoying sports and instilling a positive, active lifestyle is embraced by all. Led by a team of professional coaches and experts, and fitted with state-of-the-art courts, pitches and cycling equipment, The Campus promises your family the ultimate sports and wellness experience.

The Campus cycling

With a backdrop as special as the Algarve, The Campus takes full advantage of combining active sports with outdoor landscapes. This October 13, novice and professional triathletes are invited to take on the The Campus Triathlon – with the race running through the Quinta do Lago lake, nature trails and roads.

Irish Paralympic cycling champion, Mark Rohan, is one of the professional athletes working with The Campus and organising the triathlon.

“We can’t wait to welcome families to participate in The Campus Triathlon in October,” says Mark. “We know how important being active and healthy is to families today, and it’s fantastic to see so many are up for a challenge. This event is a perfect opportunity to do something exciting and fun together while enjoying the beautiful nature and surroundings of the resort.”

Used as a training base by some of the world’s best athletes, The Campus triathlon course is designed to allow beginner, recreational and elite athletes to test themselves in the beauty and sunshine of the Algarve’s Ria Formosa Natural Park. Everyone is welcome to participate and no experience is necessary. With pre-training programmes available, family accommodation packages and the addition of a kids’ aquathon this autumn, The Campus ensures no one is left out.
