Tennis groundstrokes: Improve your consistency and take your game to the next level


Groundstrokes are the basis of any tennis players game so improving your consistency and accuracy will help you feel more confident and enable you to win more points.

The ability to out rally your opponent and place the ball wherever you want is something that will not only increase your enjoyment of tennis but will also make you more succesful. That’s why we’ve teamed up with renowned tennis coaching outfit JTC, who are sponsored by ASICS, to give you some great ideas to help you hit more balls in court and to place your shots in the locations that will make your opponents life a misery!

In these instructional videos, Alex Ward and Morgan Phillips, two of the professional coaches from the JTC academy, show you some simple and practical on court drills that will help you find more accuracy and consistency with those all important groundstrokes. And these coaches certainly know what it takes to perform at the top of the game having both played on the professional tennis tour for many years.

 

 

In this short series Alex and Morgan delve into some practical steps you can take to really improve your forehand and backhand consistency then they develop the journey by looking at specific practises that will improve the accuracy of your groundstrokes.
