Stefanos Tsitsipas names his favourite ever tennis player during hilarious interview

He’s the most talked about talent in tennis right now but who would Stefanos Tsitsipas say is his favourite tennis player? That was the revealing question asked of him during a fun interview with a 9 year old tennis fan…

Stefanos Tsitsipas had just won his second match at the Queens Club Fever Tree Championships beating Frenchman Jeremy Chardy in an epic 3 set encounter but the hard work didn’t stop there. Next he had to answer some tough questions from ambitious 9 year old tennis reporter Vuk Vitic.

Tsitsipas was asked who his favourite tennis player is and the Greek star had no hesitation in answering, “Roger Federer

Tsitsipas is the top seed in London this week but had a poor record (for his standards) on grass courts coming into this tournament after losing in the first round in Holland last week and only winning 50% of his previous grass court matches. But with two consecutive wins this week against experienced opponents he will no doubt be feeling more confident on grass with Wimbledon looming on the horizon.

Tsitsipas now faces someone even younger and with potentially more expectation on their shoulders in Felix Auger-Aliassime. The prodigious young Canadian star had an incredible days tennis yesterday when he managed to beat both Grigor Dimitrov and Nick Kyrgios on the same day to reach the quarter finals of Queens. Kyrgios was up to his usual antics and even became embroiled in a foul-mouthed rant with the umpire.

The young questioner even asked Tsitsipas if he was considering having a haircut anytime soon and Tsitsipas replied that he’d actually just had it cut!
