Stamping our personality on Melbourne Park

At any big tennis event, it can be fascinating to see whats going on apart from the tennis.

Here at the Aussie Open theres all manner of entertainment laid on, but I reckon Australia Post deserves a special mention for their stand next to the Rod Laver Arena.

While Ana Ivanovic was busy seeing off Italian Alberta Brianti, I put our friends at Australia Post to the test are they really a shining example of innovation in the postal business? Maybe Adam Crozier, the Chief Executive at Royal Mail, might want to take a look at this

For $15.95 (that was about eight quid when I left the UK, although maybe its a bit more by now) you can create your very own personalised stamps.

You have your photo taken and before you even have chance to get your sunnies back on, the printer spits out 10 stamps featuring your mugshot. It was fun and painless and the fella at the stand said you can even have your pet on the stamp.

Just bring it in, he told me. What, the pet? Dont they need a ground pass? I asked.

No he replied, a photo, you idiot. At least he didnt call me a bloody idiot.
