Rusedski’s new weapon: the MANTIS PRO 310

The former world No.4 and British No.1 will put his new racket to the test against Pat Rafter and Goran Ivanisevic in the ATP Champions Tour Group B.

Rusedski, runner-up at the 1997 US Open, helped develop and test the new MANTIS Pro 310, which is made of 100% modulus carbon and weighs precisely 310 grams.

“I’m really enjoying using the new Pro 310 racket,” Rusedski said. “It feels great and it is the attention to detail which has created a racket with superb performance. MANTIS has continued with the matt black and white graphic design which also looks fantastic.”

MANTIS is the official racket and ball partner of the Statoil Masters Tennis and their new racket is aimed at professionals and club players looking to reach the next level.

Power and control is championed in the Pro 310, which boasts a 315mm head-light balance point and a 98 square-inch head size.

Rusedski will serve with the Pro 310 on 4 December in the tournament’s opening match with Ivanisevic, before facing Rafter a day later under the Royal Albert Hall lights. Tim Henman, Mark Philippoussis and Fabrice Santoro make up Group A.

John McEnroe and Stefan Edberg lead the Legends groups, which run on the same format as the Champions Tour groups and include Sergi Bruguera, Mats Wilander, Jeremy Bates and Henri Leconte.
