2020 Davis Cup Champions Rafael Nadal and Roberto Bautista Agut will lead Spain at the second edition of the ATP Cup in Melbourne from 1-5 February.

The 20-time Grand Slam champion and Bautista Agut will also be joined by 2020 US Open semi-finalist Pablo Carreno Busta and doubles star Marcel Granollers.

In the inaugural ATP Cup in 2020, the Spanish team whitewashed Georgia, Uruguay and Japan in the group stages before beating Belgium and Australia in the knockout phase.

In the final, Novak Djokovic beat Rafael Nadal 6-2 7-6 before the decisive doubles match saw Serbia lift the first ATP Cup title.

The reigning champions will once again be led by Novak Djokovic and Dusan Lajovic, whilst last year’s semi-finalists Russia will be headlined by Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev.

The Canadian team will include Denis Shapovalov, Milos Raonic and Felix Auger-Aliassime, whilst the Italians will be led by Fabio Fognini and World No 10 Matteo Berretini.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, who was part of a Greek team who lost all three of their matches last year, will once again be accompanied by World No 456 Michael Pervolarakis.

The 2021 edition of the event will no longer be held in three cities across Australia as a result of the pandemic, with Tennis Australia moving the tournament to Melbourne where a secure bubble will be set up.

The format of the 2021 ATP Cup has also been changed, with twelve teams divided into four round-robin groups of three teams each. The winner of each group will qualify for the semifinal stage.
