The 25-year-old British number one overcame her American opponent 3-6 6-3 6-1 and will next face either Julia Goerges or Ioana Raluca Olaru in the last eight.

On Monday Keothavong defeated another American, seventh seed Bethanie Mattek-Sands, 6-2 7-6 (7/4) in the first round.
