Azarenka, a two-time champion at Melbourne Park, looks to be back to her best form after three years of injury struggles.
Azarenka has dropped just three games in her opening two matches. She will face talented Japanese teenager Naomi Osaka in the third round after the 18-year-old beat No.18 seed Elina Svitolina 6-4 6-4 on Thursday.
