Novak Djokovic tournament schedule 2020
Serbian star Novak Djokovic managed to claim the Wimbledon title for the second year in a row in 2019. 2020 looks like being another great year but can he hold off the Next Gen challenge yet again?
Djokovic had a record year in 2019 after claiming his seventh Australian Open title and his fifth Wimbledon title. On top of these wins he claimed a further three titles in Paris, Tokyo and Madrid. However, Djokovic was not able to defend his title at the 2019 Cincinnati Open, he made it to the semi final but was defeated by Daniil Medvedev in three sets.
In November 2019 the player advanced to the Paris Masters final by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets in the semi. Djokovic then claimed the title when he beat Canadian player Denis Shapovalov 6-3, 6-4.
The Serbian player started the 2019 season sat at the very top of the ATP Tour rankings with the No.1 position. He remained there for the majority of the year before falling to No.2 in November being replaced by Rafael Nadal. Will he be able to reclaim his No.1 spot in the 2020 season?
