Nick Kyrgios sledges umpire during heated exchange at Queen’s despite comfortable win
Nick Kyrgios once again provided his unique brand of entertainment as he continued his Queen’s campaign.
The controversial Australian appeared to lose his cool midway through his match against Roberto Carballes Baena, directing his disdain at the chair umpire.
“That was out,” Kyrgios told him at one point before opting to partake in some sledging. “You have one job. Also your hat is ridiculous, it’s not even sunny. Why are you wearing it?
“Don’t talk to me. I’m not going to put in 100 per cent if there are guys rigging the game.”
The umpire urged Kyrgios to be careful what he said, to which the Australian replied: “No wonder why I don’t try. It’s a double fault I don’t get it. Absolute joke.”
It wasn’t just the chair umpire who Kyrgios took at aim either, with line judges also finding themselves at the end of his ire.
“Disgrace, absolute disgrace,” he uttered about one of them. “I’m locked in a tiebreak at three all when this set should have been done 15 minutes ago.

Kyrgios wasn’t finished there, either, as he decided to use the time between change of ends to peer over the fence to watch how Kevin Anderson and Gilles Simon were doing on the adjoining court.

Kyrgios’ mood did not seem to hamper him, though, as he claimed a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win.
He will now face young Canadian star Felix Auger-Aliassime in the next round after he over came Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-4.
