Canadian Nestor and Serbian Zimonjic prevailed over the US Open champions in 74 minutes to take home a cheque of US dollar 220,000 (Â£148,108) as undefeated champions at the season-ending event in Shanghai.

The Bryan’s were attempting to finish at the top of the doubles rankings for a record fourth straight year and fifth overall.

With the win, Zimonjic finished the season as the individual number one in the doubles rankings as he has played two tournaments less than Nestor, who finished the year as number two.
