The mens and womens main draws swung into action at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami on Wednesday with former top tenners Lleyton Hewitt, Marcos Baghdatis, Daniela Hantuchova, Jelena Dokic and Nicole Vaidisova all starring.

As well as those household names there were scores of qualifiers and unseeded players battling for a place in the second round of the $4.5 million event the tennishead snapper had his long lens trained on the likes of Maria Kirilenko, Magdalena Rybarikova, Lucie Safarova, Francesca Schiavone, Anastasia Pivovarova and Mikhail Youzhny.
