Mauresmo secures last-four place

Having had to claw her way into the quarter-finals with three-set victories in each of the first two rounds, Mauresmo had a relatively easier time against Szavay and clinched a 6-4 7-5 victory.

Mauresmo will face Anna Chakvetadze in the last four after the top seed recorded a 6-3 6-3 victory over unseeded Sorana Cirstea.
