Kim Clijsters reveals (another) comeback in emotional video
At 36 years old, Dutch tennis legend Kim Clijsters has announced that she’s decided to play professional tennis again as she revealed the news with a short but emotion fuelled video
Clijsters latch match was when she lost to Britain’s Laura Robson in the second round of the 2012 US Open. Since then she’s focussed on her parenting and raising three young children. But now, according to her video, she feels that she can do both, play and parent.

The reasons behind here return are mainly focussed on her love of the game and how much she misses being involved in a competitive sport. Obviously the hunger that drove her to such a succesful career in the first place still burns brightly within Clijsters.

Clijsters has retired before (twice). Initially she retired back in 2007 when a combination of family matters meant she needed a two year break from the game. But she was back on the tour in Cincinnati in 2009 when she immediately beat three top 20 opponents before losing in he quarter finals. In this second spell of her incredible career she won three more Grand slam titles and returned to the no.1 position on the WTA world rankings.
For Clijsters to try and return to the professional circuit at the age of 36 is going to be a huge task but no-one is doubting she has the tenacity, skill and ambition to do it, but will her body let her achieve what she wants? Only time will tell. Good luck to you Kim.
