Another day, another thrilling chapter in the 2009 ATP season at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California.

The line-up for the men’s semi-finals promised some thrilling tennis – and did not disappoint. Rafael Nadal squeaked past home crowd favourite Andy Roddick 6-4 7-6(4).

The Spaniard has set up a final showdown with Andy Murray after the world No.4 extended his head-to-head record against Roger Federer to six wins to two after a 6-3 4-6 6-1 victory.
