Garrigues to face Makarova in final

Spain’s Garrigues hammered home her superiority in the first set, taking it 6-0 before her Hungarian opponent was forced to retire before the second set got under way.

Garrigues will face Ekaterina Makarova, seeded six, in the showpiece after she won the all-Russian semi against Alisa Kleybanova, 6-2 6-1 in just under an hour.
