Fish got off to a shaky start in his 13th career appearance in an ATP final, dropping a pair of early breaks before going back up a break to win the first set, which was delayed nearly two hours due to rain.

However, he recovered his composure to finish the 92-minute match with six aces and four breaks.

It was the second career title for the 27-year-old Fish, who has not won a tournament since April 2006 and who became the first American to win this event since 2003 when he was beaten by Jan-Michael Gambill in the final.
