The Briton took the opening set of her second-round singles match against Lourdes Dominguez Lino, but the Spaniard battled back to win 4-6 7-5 6-3.

She was also beaten, together with her Hungarian partner Melinda Czink, in three sets in the quarter-finals of the doubles. The pair lost to top seeds Sorana Cirstea and Maria Kirilenko 1-6 7-5 7-10.
