Djokovic made to wait in Eastbourne

The former world No.1, playing his first pre-Wimbledon tournament in seven years, is eager to get some playing time on grass before he heads to SW19 and attempts to win a 13th major title.

Djokovic was forced to save two break-points in the opening game of the match as he started nervously against Vasek Pospisil. His Canadian opponent, who defeated Andy Murray in Indian Wells earlier this year, trailed 15-30 on his own delivery before the rain began to fall.

The match will resume at 11:00 am on Wednesday.

There were no such weather issues at the Antalya Open in Turkey where there was a major shock. Ramkumar Ramanathan, ranked No.222, defeated top seed, Dominic Thiem, 6-3 6-2 in less than an hour.

There were also second round victories for Fernando Verdasco, Marcos Baghdatis and Adrian Mannarino.
