Davydenko crushes Ferrero

In-form Russian Davydenko, ninth in the world rankings, crushed former French Open champion Ferrero 6-3 6-0 to add to the title he won last week in Hamburg.

Spaniard Ferrero had a highly successful grass-court campaign, reaching the Queen’s Club semi-finals and then the Wimbledon quarter-finals, allowing him to climb back into the world’s top 50. However after losing the first set he crumbled against Davydenko in Umag on Sunday.
