David Goffin at the 2019 US Open

Updated: David Goffin tournament schedule 2020

Belgian star David Goffin has made a promising start to 2020, with a win against one of the ‘big three’ already.

The 29-year-old beat Rafael Nadal at the ATP Cup in straight sets, his second win over the Spanish legend. He reached the third round of the Australian Open where he lost to in-form Russian Andrey Rublev. This was followed by a semi-final appearance at the Open Sud de France, so the Belgian is progressing well.

Goffin reached a career high rank at World No. 7 back in November 2017 and is the first Belgian man to make the ATP top 10.

The Belgian player began his 2019 season with a position of No.22 on the ATP Tour rankings. Goffin later dropped to No.30 in May 2019 before climbing back up the rankings to No.11 at the end of the season.
