Some of the biggest names ever to play the game are in London this week fighting it out at the BlackRock Masters Tennis at the Royal Albert Hall. Every day, from Tuesday to Sunday, Tennishead will feature a blog from one of the game’s greatest players. On day two we hear from Austrian former world No.1 Thomas Muster

I always love to come to London at Christmas for the tournament at the Royal Albert Hall. Unfortunately I couldnt make it to the tennis this year though they wouldnt let me land my helicopter in Hyde Park!

The Albert Hall is one of the greatest venues that I have played at and I would have loved the chance to play Pete Sampras again it always has such an incredible atmosphere.

I watched the John McEnroe-Pete Sampras match on ITV.com this evening. I thought John played an incredible match, but still wasnt good enough to beat Pete. I think Sampras is going to go all the way and win this tournament, probably playing Greg Rusedski or Stefan Edberg in the final.

Whenever Im in London I like to go to a nightclub called Movida, after eating at the Nobu restaurant. The tournament organisers always book me a table at Nobu for every night of the week one month in advance as its so difficult to get a table! My biggest vices are Red Bull, TOMS wine and some good Austrian chocolate I need these wherever I am.

Im playing at the Australian Open in January for the first time ever in the Champions doubles event. It will be exciting to go back to the event, where I reached the semi-finals twice.

Ill be playing in a number of events on the ATP Champions Tour next year and hopefully I will be back in London again for next years event.

Hopefully Ill end 2009 by repeating the result of my last professional match against Pete at Indian Wells in 1998 with a win!

See you all soon,

Thomas
