Second seed Bartoli, 24, won all three of her career titles in 2006 but needed just 82 minutes to down Li in their first career meeting.

Unseeded world number 53 Li, 27, had beaten top seed Agnieszka Radwanska in the first round earlier in the week but last year’s Gold Coast winner failed to convert that into a third career title.
