Check out our snappers pick of the bunch from the first day of the finals weekend in Melbourne. On show are women’s singles finalists Serena Williams and Dinara Safina – and you don’t need to be a body linguist to work out which way that one went.

Also on show are junior champions Yuki Bhambri – India’s first Junior Grand Slam champ – and Ksenia Pervak, as well as beaten finalists Alexandros-Ferdinandos Georgoudas and British junior No.1 Laura Robson. And just to cap things off, a quick set to mark the Bryan brothers’ third Aussie Open doubles title.
