Australian Open fast facts
Evonne Goolagong Cawley won four Australian Open titles between 1974 and 1977 but they were not considered consecutive because there were two tournaments in 1977 due to a scheduling change.
Cawley skipped the January tournament for the birth of her first child but returned to win a fourth Australian Open title in December that year.
