The Tennishead story began over 10 years ago when Mike Frey, an experienced publishing veteran and tennis fanatic, realised there was a gap for a tennis content brand that focussed on a global audience of tennis fans and amateur players. Since then Mike has been joined by Tim Farthing and they’ve set about building Tennishead into what you see today, the world’s most popular tennis content brand.

Tennishead caters for an audience that engage with the sport all year round. Most of these fans are also amateur tennis players themselves so they not only watch the sport, follow their favourite player and visit tournaments but they also play the game at their local club and have lessons from their club coach.

We started out by launching Tennishead magazine in traditional print format, which we still love publishing to this day, then we’ve grown to incorporate Tennishead.net, social media channels on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, our email newsletter and most recently the Tennishead CLUB ⬇️ ⬇️

First published in 2010, Tennishead magazine is packed full of exclusive player interviews, features from the heart of the sport written by the world’s best tennis writers, stunning photos, expert racket and gear reviews plus insight and advice from top coaches and analysts. Tennishead CLUB

The Tennishead CLUB is the world’s first and only virtual tennis club with a membership made up of keen amateur tennis players form around the world.

Members receive a range of tennis related benefits including tennis gear, tennis coaching videos, exclusive content like The Bagel newsletter and other ‘money can’t buy’ opportunities. The Tennishead CLUB has three membership levels, MASTERS, TOUR and SLAM (See what we’ve done there!). We launched the CLUB in 2020 and already have thousands of active members which is growing fast.

We work with brands on a variety of levels to help improve the offering of the Tennishead CLUB for our members but also to help those brands reach this highly engaged audience.The feedback from CLUB members has been remarkable. Over 95% say they will be recommending the products they’ve received through the CLUB their tennis friends and family and over 97% say they will purchase those products in the future. We have an incredible renewal rate of over 70% of first time Tennishead CLUB members renewing their membership the following year and most of our founding partner brands like ASICS and Top Level Tennis have been with us from the start.

 

All Things Tennis

A few years ago we invested into up and coming online tennis retailer, All Things Tennis (ATT). We wanted to work closely with a retailer so that we can recommend to our readers a reliable and trusted supplier to purchase their tennis gear. This partnership allows us to independently review tennis rackets, shoes and equipment and then direct our customers to purchase that item from ATT without limiting our credibility as an independent reviewer.
