A tennis holiday with a twist

Offering a perfect balance of work and play, Henry Lamb Residential Camps offer children between the ages of 10 and 16 the chance to improve their language skills while also brushing up on their backhand.

Based at the Saint Victoire International School in the heart of Provence, the week-long residential hoiday offers three hours of language lessons in the morning and three hours of sports coaching in the afternoon.

“Foreign languages and tennis are two skills that parents want their children to learn – two skills that are great to develop at a young age,” says Henry Lamb, the man behind the idea. “It’s the perfect balance of classroom and sport and a week abroad allows the children to develop a real sense of independence.”

Extra-curricular activities include a trip to the beach and climbing the famous Mont Sainte Victoire, while there are also two swimming pools, basketball court and tennis courts on site.

“Children will be encouraged to speak French throughout the day,” Lamb explains. “It’s great for children about to start working towards their GCSEs as it’s a fun way to brush up on your language skills but play a bit of tennis at the same time – a perfect mix.

“It's ideal for parents who have to work during the school summer holidays – they can send their kids on our holiday with full confidence that their kids are having fun but getting something worthwhile out of it as well.”

Henry Lamb Residential Camp runs from August 11-18 2013. For more information click here.
