Igor Andreev and Tommy Robredo will wake up in New York on Wednesday kicking themselves (not literally though – that would be weird. And not together either, in case you’re wondering).

Both players had a great chance of causing one of the biggest shocks yet at this years Open on Tuesday, but neither could quite pull it off.
Robredo had a less-than-100% fit Novak Djokovic on the ropes only for the super Serb to come through in five.
And Andreev forced defending champ Roger Federer into a decider before the Swiss maestro buried the Russian.
Things were more comfortable for Andy Roddick, a straight-sets winner over Fernando Gonzalez and there was a shock win for qualifier Gilles Muller who ended Nikolay Davydenkos tournament.
In the womens draw, Elena Dementieva and Jelena Jankovic set up a semi-final date after comfortable wins against Patty Schnyder and Sybille Bammer respectively.
And there was plenty to shout about for fans of British tennis as Jamie Murray reached his second grand slam mixed doubles final with American partner Liezel Huber.
